Main research activities/topics/projects

The internationalized ISLLI Master's Degree Program (LM-37: Euro-American Languages and Literatures) allows students to improve their competence in one or two foreign languages and two literatures, and to acquire in-depth knowledge of issues and topics in the fields of philological, historical and literary translation studies. Students will also be able to develop their skills in foreign language teaching, Italian literature, comparative literature, and literary theory.

All languages and literatures (English and Anglo-American, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Hispano-American) are taught in their respective languages, making the program inherently multilingual. However, it is possible (but not compulsory) to take all or most of the exams in English.

The MA program regularly organizes workshops, in English and Italian, allowing students to integrate their acquired skills with practical activities. The literary translation workshop involves the five languages taught in the MA, and the most interesting student translations are submitted for publication. We also offer a range of internships both in Italy and abroad.

ISLLI graduates find employment as teachers, language consultants, translators, cultural mediators, and in the organization of cultural events or in multimedia communication.
