Main research activities/topics/projects

The Research Center focuses on the thought of Baruch Spinoza and, more broadly, on the philosophical, ethical, aesthetic, and political themes of the early modern period that are connected to Spinozism. The center welcomes visiting scholars from around the world and regularly organizes conferences, seminars, book presentations and workshops. Scholars working on the early modern period, and particularly on Spinoza, are welcome to spend a research period in Bologna to present their work and participate in the activities organized by the center.
