Main research activities/topics/projects

The research group Filosofia Antica a Torino specialises in Ancient Philosophy, with particular emphasis on Plato, Aristotle, the Early Academy, ancient science, and the later developments of Platonism.

The group offers an active and international research environment, with regular seminars, reading groups, workshops, and collaborative projects. Candidates will have the opportunity to engage closely with primary texts (often in Greek), as well as with current international scholarship.

Teaching activities vary depending on the academic year and include courses in Ancient Philosophy at both BA and MA levels. We also offer an English-taught MA course (Philosophy in the Ancient World), making it possible for international students to integrate fully into the programme.
