 1. Master’s Degree in Philosophical Sciences

The lecturers of the Master’s Degree in Philosophical Sciences, some of whom are members of Board of Doctoral Studies for Philosophy, are available for providing guidance to Brazilian Master students involved in the final research as well as post-doctoral researchers. Obviously, this will be done in partnership with the Brazilian colleagues acting as tutors for said students or post-doctoral researchers.

2. PhD in Philosophy
The doctoral degree in Philosophy at Roma Tre has two curricula: 1) Philosophy and empirical sciences; 2) History of philosophy and critical thinking. Topics covered in the first curriculum include: a) the relationship between the human world and nature; b) the metaphysics of the empirical sciences; c) the mind-body problem; d) the study of language and human and animal communication systems; e) the connection between naturalism and normativity; f) the relationship between rationality and emotions. Topics covered in the activities of the second curriculum include: a) the history of philosophical ideas from antiquity to the contemporary age, b) debates in the ethico-political sphere, from biopolitics to theories of conflict and socio-environmental problems, c) developments in aesthetics, not only in connection to the theory of the arts, but also to questions of nature and landscape, d) investigations into corporality, gender studies and research into the passions as agents of behavior and norms of social conduct.
The main activities of the doctoral course include: series of lectures and analysis of texts coordinated by the members of faculty, with the participation of external scholars; international seminars (doctoral days) open to Italian and foreign scholars and devoted to the discussion of the ongoing research of doctoral candidates.

 1. The vehicular languages that will be used by individual lecturers include English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese

 2. The languages of the lectures and seminars are Italian and English. External scholars invited to the activities also deliver lectures in French, German and Spanish.
