Main research activities/topics/projects

Taxonomy, identification and typing of bacteria (mainly lactic acid bacteria) isolated from fermented food, insects, environmental samples etc.

 

Working language 

 Working language is English, could be Italian if candidate is interested in learning/practicing it.

 

Special entry requirement

- Classical microbiology (culturing techniques, media preparation, etc.)
- Molecular biology (PCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.)
- Basic bioinformatics (sequence alignments, BLAST, Mega, etc.)
- Interest in data collection and management according to national and international quality procedures on biological materials

Duration in months (min-max)

Master Research : 3  -6
