Main research activities/topics/projects

Brazilian Master and PhD students as well as PostDoc researchers will be involved in research activities within the general fields of Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Geohazards, Cultural Heritage.

Specific topics will include:

• Crystal-chemistry of rare minerals containing Li and REE and gem minerals;
• Traditional and modern techniques for ceramic production;
• Urban mining and recovery of matter from waste;
• Quaternary geomorphology, river and coastal environments;
• Physical and mechanical degradation mechanisms of soft rocks affecting coastal cliff erosion.
• Textural and rheological properties of sediments as a tool to model gravity flows.

Master students in Geology, Chemistry, Materials Science and Technology, and related disciplines.

PhD students and PostDoc researchers should hold a Master degree in one of the subjects listed above.
