Main research activities/topics/projects

The researcher will work on remote sensing data, e.g.  digital images from space/aerial GNSS measurements, laser scanning point clouds etc…. The field is geomatics, and the final goal of the research can range from environmental monitoring in forestry and agricultural applications, such as food/wood production estimation, wildfire danger mapping, ecosystem services evaluation,  to infrastructure monitoring in an urban context for relating cause and effect of climate to vertical earth ground movement. Insights from remote sensing will be mapped to digital representations, such as digital twins, to provide access to models and results.
