MESO - first prototypes tested

The first round of experimental tests has been carried out on the short lattice elements.
The prototypes have been tested under compression loading.
The results will serve as first benchmark for the structural behavior of lattice meso-elements.

MESO - First printed prototypes

The first prototypes of lattice meso-elements have finally been fabricated.
These samples reproduce various geometrical configurations suitable to carry compression loading.
The next phase of MESO activities will see the compression test on them for structural design purposes.

DESIGN - Computational design of lattice meso-elements

The first round of analyses has generated the first computational design framework for lattice meso-elements.
They will put the basis for the design and fabrication of the first examples of lattice meso-elements for the MESO phase of the project.

BASIC - Characterization of first samples

The geometrical and mechanical characterization of the sample bars printed with WAAM technology has produced a wide range of experimental results.
From these, the first interoperation of their structural behavior will be investigated and assessed for future structural design purposes.
