Palestine, De-Development and the Quest for Justice

The complexities of Palestine's de-development

  • Date: 10 DECEMBER 2024  from 17:30 to 19:00

  • Event location: Sala Rossa, Palazzo Marchesini, Via Marsala, 26 - Bologna - In presence and online event

  • Type: Lectures

The lectures explore the multifaceted dimensions of de-development in Palestine, unraveling the layers of economic, social, and political challenges faced by its people. A critical focus is placed on the entrenched neoliberal development models that not only serve to fortify Israel's settler-colonial project, but also obfuscate the underlying power dynamics and political realities that shape the Palestinian landscape. The lectures will examine the complexities of Palestine's de-development and the ongoing pursuit of justice with a focus on the educational and cultural sectors.
