James E. Katz is the Feld Professor of Emerging Media Studies at Boston University, founder of its Division of Emerging Media Studies, and a leading scholar on AI, social media, and human-robot interaction. He has authored multiple books on the societal and ethical impacts of technology, with over 20,000 citations, and has received numerous awards, including the Frederick Williams Prize and an honorary doctorate.
