The University of Bologna was founded in 1088. It is one of the most renowned and prestigious universities across Europe and the most populated university community in Italy, with 86.000 enrolled students, 32 departments, 219 Degree Programmes, 45 PhD programmes, 52 specialisation schools, 74 professional courses. The Department of Architecture and the Department of Education Studies are involved in the project.

Having been founded in 1996, Yeditepe University aims to raise young people that are modern, inquisitive, equipped with all the qualifications that are needed in business world and all the technological skills necessary, well-versed in different cultures and personally well developed. Yeditepe University carries out its academic activities in 13 faculties, 77 Bachelor's Degree programs, 83 Master's Degree programs and 43 PhD Degree programs. The Department of Architecture and the Department of Computer Engineering are involved in the project.

The University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (Akademia Humanistyczno-Ekonomiczna w Łodzi - AHE) is an accredited higher education institution providing BA, MA, MSc, PhD programmes, postgraduate studies and courses for various target groups (entrepreneurs, unemployed, youth, students, disabled, seniors, teachers, trainers, people of various professions, migrants, children, disadvantaged youth). The Faculty of Computer Science and International Cooperation Department are involved in the project.

The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organization under the auspices of the General Secretarial of Research and Technology of Greece, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 10.3.2000 it is a founding member of the Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), also supervised by the Greek Secretariat of Research and Technology. ITI is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications (a list of all of ITI’s research activities can be found here).

Center for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind

The Center for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind (CERB), with two Units in Athens and in Thessaloniki, provides services to visually impaired people of all ages, concerning education and rehabilitation, on a national level. The main objective of the Center is the complete independence of the visually impaired person and his / her integration into society. With the appropriate training and support of our staff, and in an environment of mutual respect, the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students, is aimed and promoted.

Museo Tattile Statale Omero

Museo Tattile Statale Omero

The Museo Omero was founded in 1993 by Ancona City Council in collaboration with the Marche Regional Council, and in 1999 it was recognized by the Italian Parliament as a State public museum. The aim of the museum is to promote the cultural growth and integration of the visually impaired and blind people, and to widen their knowledge of reality. However, the Museo Omero wishes to be a pleasant and stimulating cultural space for everyone.
