The team

The interdisciplinary project team

The project team is made up of 2 research units: the Bologna Unit (UniBO) and the Perugia Unit (UniPG), whose components operate in a strictly integrated manner throughout the project.

Team members have complementary and synergistic scientific expertise and backgrounds in the fields of biosystems engineering, agroecology and soil sciences. These skills will allow an interdisciplinary analysis of the problems relating to the energy, microclimate and environmental dimensions considered in the project.

Research group of the University of Bologna (UniBO)

The Unibo group will contribute to the project with its expertise in the following areas: GIS, territorial analysis and mapping of environmental criticalities, environmental and energy simulations of greening strategies, determination of the organic carbon stock, soil mapping and characterization, resilient agroecological approaches.

The group is composed by:

  • Daniele Torreggiani (principal investigator of the project and responsible of the Bologna research unit) -  profile
  • Alberto Barbaresi - profile
  • Patrizia Tassinari -  profile
  • Gloria Falsone - profile
