Photographic Archives Consultant
Cinzia Frisoni graduated in Art History at the University of Bologna with professor Andrea Emiliani. Cataloguing cultural heritage has been always her main field of interest. In particular, she has gained a solid experience in the retrieval and valorization of photographic ownerships of public institutions. She has worked in collaboration with several Soprintendenze (Bologna, Brescia, Venezia, Ravenna) about the managing and cataloguing of historical photographic collections.
She has set up exhibitions and catalogues and participated in meetings and workshops on historical photographic documents.
She has been working for ten years as a consultant for the ICCD -Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione-, she has tested the new version of the cataloguing card F 4.0 and participated in the writing of the new cataloguing regulation (FF 4.0). She is actively involved in the teaching of cataloguing for universities, regional, national and governmental institutions, moreover, I have managed public and private databases.
Archivist / Photographic Archives Consultant
Marta Magrinelli, after a three-year degree in Modern Literature at the University of Bologna, completes her university education at the same university by graduating with Claudio Marra in History of Art with a thesis in which she explores the issues of the protection of photography as a cultural asset and the spaces deputed to its preservation and valorization. She attends courses in cataloging and preservation of photographic documentation, in the use of software for archival description (xDams, Collective Access, Cei-Ar, AVIndexter, Archimista/Archivista, Arianna) and obtains a diploma in Archivistics, Paleography and Diplomatics at the school attached to the State Archives of Modena.
Since 2009 she has been collaborating with public (University of Bologna, Istituzione Minguzzi, University of Roma Tre, Region of Tuscany, Archival and Bibliographic Superintendence of Emilia-Romagna) and private institutions (Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Imola, Gramsci Foundation Emilia-Romagna, Historical Institute of Resistance of Forlì-Cesena, Identità Trans Movement - MIT of Bologna) dealing with the reorganization, description, preservation and digitization of photographic archives, posters, graphic works and audiovisual documents of associations, families and personalities.
Contextually, she is responsible for the control of photographic traces, the management of authority indexing processes and the editing of the Producer Subject sheets (portal "Una città per gli archivi" of the project of the same name promoted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna and the Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna), the supervision and coordination of archival interventions and the training of the operators involved, the collaboration in the elaboration of descriptive models for a census of archives and photographic collections and their configuration with archival description software (FAF - Fondazione Alinari per la Fotografia).
She leads seminars and workshops on inventorying, management and preservation of archives and photographic collections. Since 2019, she has been the contact person for the photographic, poster and audio archives of the Union of Women in Italy (UDI) in Bologna, an association with which she also collaborates on curating exhibitions, educational projects and the valorization of archives from a gender perspective.
