The goal of the Summer School on Foundations of Programming and Software Systems, first organized in 2017 and then in 2018 and 2019, is to introduce the participants to various aspects of computation theory and programming languages. The school, spread over a single week, is aimed at PhD students and young researchers in Theoretical Computer Science, broadly construed. Each year the school is focused on a particular, actively researched topic.
The school will take place in Bertinoro, a small town located 75 kilometres to the South-East of Bologna. The venue is CEUB, a renovated castle dating back to around 1000 AD. CEUB offers not only rooms and equipment for lectures, but also accommodation in single and double rooms, together with a restaurant.
The courses will be given from Monday, February 13th to Friday, 17th February, 2023. Participants are expected to arrive in Bertinoro on Sunday, February 12th, and leave on Saturday, February 18th.
The school consists of seven courses and two seminars, all held by top researchers in the areas of programming language theory and logic in computer science. The organizing committee includes Ugo Dal Lago (Bologna), Francesco Gavazzo (Pisa) and Paolo Pistone (Rome). This webpage has been designed by Andrea Colledan (Bologna).
