Materials for "The Origins of Simultaneous Interpretation" (Gaiba, 1998, University of Ottawa Press)

The first monograph ever written on the baptism of fire of simultaneous interpreting at the Nuremberg Trials (November 1945-October 1946) is the result of a senior thesis discussed in March 1996 by Francesca Gaiba at the Interpreters Institute (SSLMIT) of Bologna University in Forlì.
In 2022 the author decided to make publicly available her collection of documents and research articles as well as her private correspondence with some of the interpreters who had lived through that historical experience.
