Lectures

A constant activity for all members is participation in the theoretical lectures, which are held at least twice a month on various topics approached from methodological and historical perspectives. The aim is to broaden knowledge in the main field of research—namely, dance philology—as well as in historical-critical and theoretical areas, thereby encouraging reflections on choreographic notation, research methodologies, and performance sources.

The lectures are delivered either by the members themselves or by invited scholars, and they deal primarily with choreographic subjects, but also with musicological and theatrical ones, especially from the eighteenth to the early twentieth century. They represent a fundamental moment of exchange and discussion among participants.
