Young people, social media, and European elections: how do social media influence electoral participation?

The participation of young people in elections has been steadily decreasing in recent years, marking a problem in representation in the European Parliament. Through a research project based on data collected at European level, the impact of social networks on youth participation in European elections will be explored. The activity aims to raise awareness about the role of social media in electoral behaviour, while initiating a debate to develop concrete policy proposals.
