Creation of a European Bench

A European bench, characterised by the colour blue and decorated with the European Union flag, represents a tangible symbol of union and encounter. This choice reflects the importance of creating common reference points in public space, which can foster the construction of an authentic European identity, especially among the younger generations. The main objective is to get people used to seeing the symbol of the European Union not only in institutional contexts, but also in everyday places, thus helping to foster a sense of belonging and cohesion among European citizens.

The idea originates from the European Federalist Movement and is carried out by various associations in Italy and thanks to the Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen also in France and in Europe.
