Building communities and negotiating identities through plurilingualism in the EU

What is the role of lingua franca, translanguaging, language socialisation and translation processes in defining European linguistic identity? The activity aims to promote a critical and participatory awareness for the creation of transcultural spaces in Europe, through a sociolinguistic perspective inspired by plurilingualism. Contexts such as Erasmus, European metropolises and digital nomadism will be explored, encouraging reflection on models of plurilingualism and transcultural communication.
