After examining the current discipline of the financial market and highlighting its evolutionary phases, the aim of the seminar is to analyze the phenomenon of digitization. the most relevant European and international discipline that has contributed to defining the phenomenon of technological innovation applied to finance is analyzed. The seminar illustrates the institutes connected to this innovative phenomenon, such as Blockchain, Bitcoin, smart contracts, Internet of Things, Fintech; for these phenomena an "ad hoc" regulation by the legislator becomes essential.
