About

The 2026 LLC programme aims train the European workforce in different sectors to become competent and ‘data-aware’ knowledge workers who can understand, critically evaluate and influence the ways in which data is used in their organisations to derive socio-economic value from it.

The objective is primarily focused on the ability to “work with data science and data scientists” rather than on developing advanced technical or specialist data science skills, or performing data science tasks directly.

The approach is open to participants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds.

Why choose us

Would you like to strengthen your ability to understand how data supports decision-making in real professional contexts?

This Programme offers a non-technical introduction to data-driven decision-making, helping you move from data to understanding and informed action.

You will explore how data is collected, interpreted and used to support analysis and improve decision-making across a range of sectors, including agrifood and packaging, wellness, logistics, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry.

Rather than focusing on technical methods, the course emphasises how basic statistical and data science concepts can help improve processes, support operational choices and communicate insights in a clear and effective way.

The Programme is designed to give participants a concrete understanding of what data science projects involve, and how data analysis can be used to inform decisions in real organisational settings.

What you will learn and achieve

At the end of the Programme, participants will receive an officially recognised certificate worth 9 ECTS (CFU).

More importantly, they will have developed a foundational understanding of data-driven decision-making and data science processes.

In particular, participants will be able to:

understand the structure and logic of a data science project
follow and interpret data analyses, including more complex outputs
contribute to simple group-based analytical tasks
relate data analysis to practical decision-making problems
communicate data-informed insights in a clear and structured way

The Programme is designed to provide non-technical participants with the ability to engage with data science topics in a meaningful way.
