ArtLab Novara is conceived as a space for encounter and exchange, centred on issues that are crucial to the present and future of the cultural system.
Date:
Event location: ArtLab Novara - Multiples Venues
In a context marked by rapid and profound transformations, it has become increasingly necessary to critically analyse ongoing experiences and to initiate open dialogues capable of overcoming sectoral boundaries and cultural inertia. Cultural organisations, enterprises, and institutions today require clear interpretative tools and cross-cutting arenas for discussion in order to redefine strategies and orient their future trajectories.
ArtLab Novara will function as a meeting point and a hub for ideas, solutions, and opportunities, bringing together independent practitioners, experts, institutional representatives, philanthropic bodies, businesses, and Third Sector organisations.
At the heart of the discussion are some of the most advanced practices in cultural innovation: new models of trust-based philanthropy; investment strategies for urban cultural spaces; and development pathways for hybrid social spaces, which are increasingly central to the dynamics of cohesion and inclusion. Attention will also be devoted to the strategic role of music and live performance venues as cultural and social infrastructures for their territories.
Through analyses, research, and workshops, the programme will explore the conditions of marginal territories and the role that culture can play in processes of regeneration. It will examine the state of digital innovation across the cultural and creative sectors, creating a bridge between European perspectives and local experiences, and investigating the conditions needed to support innovation ecosystems capable of fostering new skills and the experimentation of emerging technologies across different fields and contexts.
The programme will also include sessions dedicated to new research and publications: the Federculture Annual Report, an essential resource for understanding developments in Italian cultural policy, and the series Geografie Culturali, with a dedicated focus on the relationship between museums and their publics.
The event will conclude with ArtLab Off, featuring the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Keeponlive, the national network of live music venues.
