  • Date: 03 JULY 2024  from 11:00 to 15:00

  • Event location: Auditorium del Castello Pasquini – Castiglioncello (LI)

The experience of the Permanent Workshop of Nerval Teatro was founded at Armunia in 2007, where it took root, finding fertile ground for experimentation and the expansion of its inquiries. Within this ongoing process—open to the needs of the local territory and animated by research-driven dynamics—a Beckettian line of work gradually emerged, overturning commonly held assumptions about the dramaturgy of this major twentieth-century author.

Beckett, when working alongside actors with disabilities, revealed himself to be an extraordinary master of communication and mutual understanding.

This encounter is dedicated precisely to this unique constellation of socially grounded and artistically distilled interactions. The intention is to explore the various lines of development that have so far emerged from the artistic research, with particular reference to two stage works included in this year’s festival programme: Winnie and La buca.

Participants in the dialogue include:
Professor Laura Gemini (University of Urbino); Professor Gerardo Guccini (University of Bologna); Professor Marco Menini (Critic); Maurizio Lupinelli (Director and founding actor of Nerval Teatro); Elisa Pol (Actress and co-founder of Nerval Teatro).
