CHEMOMETRICS

Statistical analysis of data (both univariate and multivariate) deriving from every field of analyitical chemistry, for classification and quantification purposes, using the main chemometrical tools: PCA (Principal Components Analysis), LDA (Linear Discriminant Analysis), PLSR (Partial Least Squares Regression). Development of new chemometrich approaches to face up to specific problems.

ANALYSIS OF METALS

Analysis of trace metals in natural matrices (grounds, plants, ...) and commodities (wines, cosmetics, ...) by polarography. The focus is on transtion metals, mainly Zinc, Copper, Cadmium, Lead, but also Chromium and Nichel. Polarography can quantificate metals in the order of tenths of ppm.
