The eco-sustainability of body donation
Although multiple artificial anatomical models exist, the body donated to science remains the gold standard for ensuring comparable patient outcomes. The study in the head-and-neck district in the septic room allows for the ability to evaluate anatomical variants of surgical interest and to develop and test new medical devices in order to improve clinical practice and patients' oral health.
The aim of the project is to optimize the use of corpses from the UNIBO Human Anatomy Center's Postmortem Body Donation Program from a green perspective. The aim of the study is to verify the environmental impact related to the use and management of the donated bodies to science and to study, from an integrated and complementary perspective, the best uses of artificial models to ensure optimal education, training, and research in biomedical fields.
