The Maritime Silk Road: International and EU Law Reflections 

"The Maritime Silk Road: International and EU Law Reflections" is the title of the roundtable organized by the University of Genoa in the context of the Summer School "European Union and the Law of the Sea" (EULOS), starting at 9:15 a.m. 

Interventions of scholars and experts are planned. The first subject "The Belt and Road Iniatiative and freedom of navigation" (speaker Keyuan Zou of the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom) will be followed by a study on the impact of the initiative on the marine environment protection "The Belt and Road Initiative and marine environmental protection" (Warwick Gullett, University of Wollongong, Australia). The webinar will proceed with the analysis of the initiative in relation to EU law with professor Chiara E. Tuo, University of Genoa, who will give a presentation on "The Belt and Road Initiative in the prism of EU law". Fabrizio Marrella of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, with an intervention on "The Belt and Road and International trade law: focus on Incoterms 2020", will close the event. Andree Kirchner, Professor of the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven, and Lorenzo Schiano di Pepe, Professor of the University of Genoa will chair the event.
