The union between Sport and the University of Bologna has a very long history and its foundations lie in their common values and goals: the development and promotion of playing sports as an education for the body and as an occasion for training to develop specific skills and aptitudes, attention towards sustainability and good life practices and a focus on inclusiveness and team spirit. Since 1946, the CUSB has been the spokesperson and driving force behind these values, promoting basic and competitive sports activities in all university schools in Bologna and the surrounding area through competitions, tournaments, championships, courses, games and social events. The new Topic Group Sport&Cusb aims to be an innovative space for discussion, exchanging of views and sharing, where sport is the perfect link to promote activities and dialogues on universal and transversal topics, such as active wellness, health & nutrition, socialisation, mutual respect and sustainability. An inclusive, multidisciplinary community where you can bring your ideas, keep up-to-date on events and initiatives and participate to expand your network.

The Topic Leader

Hello, I am Valeria Taraborrelli, Leader of the Sport&CUSB Topic Group.

I graduated in Law from the University of Bologna in 2013 and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Business Management at the Bologna Business School (BBS).

In 2015, I started my professional career within an Italian company in the luxury sector. In December 2020, I embarked on a new study programme by enrolling in the Executive Master in Sustainability and Business Innovation, also at the BBS. This experience allowed me to work on new entrepreneurial projects in the field of social and life innovation.

I have enjoyed a long and prestigious sporting career and took my first steps within CUSB at the beginning of my university career. I am also currently a member of the CUSB Governing Board
