Mentoring is an opportunity to connect in a one-to-one dialogue with someone who shares their professional experience with you, helping you gain a clearer perspective on opportunities, choices and the transition from university to the world of work.
Ask the questions that matter to someone who has already been through it before
You may be matched with an Alumna or Alumnus who has followed a study path similar to yours or who works in a field you are interested in, either in Italy or abroad. Meetings start from what you would like to explore: a sector, a role, the skills required, or the steps that can lead to a particular profession.
An additional perspective on your choices
Your Mentor can help you define your goals and identify your strengths, understand which skills you could develop, prepare for a job interview, or find your way as you build your professional network. They will share their experience, knowledge and perspective gained through first-hand professional experience.
A journey built around shared interests and experience
Participation is free of charge. Each mentee–mentor match is carefully designed, whenever possible, to create a connection between your study path, your interests and the Mentor’s professional experience.
What does the Mentoring programme involve?
From November 2026 to May 2027, you will have the opportunity to meet your Mentor online or in person and use this time to explore what matters most to you: a sector, a career choice, a skill or your next step.
The programme can last up to 6 months, but the timing and frequency of meetings will be adapted to the goals and needs you define together with your Mentor. Each monthly meeting lasts at least 2 hours – enough time to go beyond immediate questions and build a conversation that can develop over time.
The programme begins with a kick-off event and concludes with a final in-person meeting, offering valuable opportunities to meet other participants and expand your network. Throughout the programme, the University offices will remain available to support and monitor the progress of the mentoring relationship.
If you reach your goals earlier, you can conclude the programme ahead of schedule. If, on the other hand, something is not working, you can report it and decide to end the mentoring relationship.
At the end of the programme, you will be invited to complete a survey about your experience, providing valuable feedback to help improve future editions of the programme.
You are eligible to apply if:
- you are about to graduate from a Second-Cycle Degree (Laurea Magistrale) or a Single-Cycle Degree (Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico) and will obtain your degree by March 2027;
- you are about to complete a first- or second-level Master’s programme and will obtain your qualification by March 2027;
- you obtained a Second-Cycle Degree, Single-Cycle Degree or first- or second-level Master’s qualification no more than two years before the Call deadline (15 October 2026);
- you are a member of the Alumni Community. If you are not yet a member of the Alumni Community, you can register before submitting your application.
