ICEGIANT - Integrated monitoring of the David-Drygalski glacial system (Antarctica)

The project investigates the dynamics of the David-Drygalski glacial system in Antarctica through integrated geodetic, geophysical and satellite observations. Following the installation of 12 GNSS stations and 3 seismic stations across the David Cauldron Icefall and the Drygalski Ice Tongue, GNSS, seismic and SAR data analyses are currently underway to improve understanding of ice-flow velocity, tidal forcing, and the interaction between ice, bedrock and ocean circulation.
