Research, education, and professional development are core pillars of the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Clinical Cardiology. The Laboratory’s faculty are committed to training students by providing them with the technical, methodological, and knowledge-based tools needed to carry out their own research projects.
Medical students, Nursing students, resident physicians, and PhD candidates turn to the Laboratory’s faculty to explore in greater depth topics covered during lectures and to gain experience in medical research activities.
Students interested in long-term training and collaborative pathways can find optimal support and dedicated infrastructure to design and write their graduation thesis and/or actively contribute to the development of research projects. Through a project-based teaching approach, they can also learn and apply the main statistical and analytical principles required to design, conduct, and publish rigorous and innovative scientific studies, while developing critical appraisal skills for reading and interpreting scientific literature.
