Formed over the centuries, the collection of Hebrew manuscripts held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France represents a body of work of exceptional richness, both in the diversity of its holdings and the variety of its origins and periods of production.

Among the pieces discussed are fragments from the Cairo Genizah, Iberian Bibles that passed through Italy, manuscripts from Constantinople or integrated into royal and scholarly collections—all bearing witness to an intertwined history at the crossroads of Jewish worlds, Christian contexts, and scholarly endeavors.

The study day is organized within the framework of the BiNaH project ("Bibliothèque Nationale 'Hebraica'"), funded by the Agence nationale de la recherche (France), with the support of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the IRHT laboratory (CNRS) in Paris.

Day coordination: Emma Abate (Unibo / IRHT, CNRS, Paris) and Sonia Fellous (IRHT, CNRS, Paris).
