The course for Sustainability Manager in sports has started

The first lesson took place in person in the press room of the Dall'Ara stadium in Bologna

February 12 2026 - The training course for Sustainability Managers in sports, lasting 60 hours, is conducted 80% online and features the participation of academic lecturers and experts from the world of sports. The course began in the press room of Bologna Football Club (BFC) at the Stadio Dall'Ara in Bologna, with one of the few in-person lessons planned in the course. A lesson that, for this reason, was less attended compared to the online lessons the following day, but which saw a brilliant presentation by Carlo Caliceti, BFC's Head of Communications and an expert in sports history, who discussed the evolution of Italian sports, up to the emergence of the sustainability theme.

The subsequent lessons will feature Elisa Bottoni (ICSC), Ludovico Bullini Orlandi (Unibo), Davide Calderone (ICSC), Paola Canestrini (Unibo), Giuseppe Cappiello (Unibo), Fabrizio D'Angelo (CIO sustainability manager), Luca De Simoni (LND), Paco D'Onofrio (Unibo), Giovanni Esposito (Rowing Federation), Leonardo Ghiraldini (Rugby Federation), Daniela Isetti (former member of the International Cycling Union council), Maurizio Marano (Unibo), Cristiana Pace (CEO of Enovation Consulting), Veronica Pedrelli (BFC), Boris Popov (EY), Gianclaudio Romeo (trainer on ESG topics in sports), Gaia Simonetti (LND), Enrico Supino (Unibo), Giuseppe Torluccio (Unibo), Valentina Vanicore (BFC), Sara Zanni (Unibo).
