ICEGIANT adopts an integrated approach combining GNSS observations, broadband seismic measurements and SAR satellite image analysis.
Integrated monitoring approach
ICEGIANT uses complementary observing techniques to study the David–Drygalski glacier system from different perspectives. GNSS stations measure local glacier motion, seismic stations record signals related to ice and bedrock processes, and SAR imagery provides spatial information over larger glacier sectors. Together, these methods support the analysis of glacier dynamics, tidal forcing and ice–bedrock–ocean interactions.
