WORKFLOW

  • workflow

The project involves activities over 2 years, organized into 5 interconnected work packages (WPs):

The activities carried out in WP1 will improve the understanding of how the type and characteristics of multifunctional covers can influence the microclimatic conditions of the canopy, as well as the main physiological processes and plant performance, depending on the vigor of the orchard. This knowledge will provide the basis for optimizing the choice of multifunctional covers as well as revealing the plant-environment relationships of the cherry tree.
The activities of WP2 and WP3 will  allow the calibration and validation of mechanistic models for cherry trees. These models will predict the main plant responses to different microclimates and represent an important tool, to understand the plant-environment relationship in cherry in different cherry fruit producing regions.
The activities of WP4 consist of dissemination and communication and WP5 consist of coordination and monitoring of research and innovation activities, administrative and financial management in order to facilitate their dissemination.

The project is expected to last 24 months starting from January 2024
