If your pet has been diagnosed with a soft tissue tumor, ask your veterinarian whether the case can be included in the STORM-Pets database.
How you can participate
- Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
- No additional tests or procedures are required. Clinical and pathological data are collected from existing medical records and pathology reports.
- With your consent, you may be contacted in the future to obtain follow-up information about your pet's health status.
Every case contributes to expanding scientific knowledge and, ultimately, to improving the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of soft tissue tumors in dogs and cats.
The collaboration of private practitioners, specialist clinics, veterinary laboratories, and university hospitals is essential for the success of the project. Participation is structured and does not involve any additional workload or costs.
How veterinarians can contribute:
- Report diagnosed or suspected soft tissue tumor (STT) cases.
- Provide clinical reports, diagnostic images, and follow-up information.
- Submit available histological slides and/or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks as residual diagnostic material.
- Collaborate in the prospective collection of new cases.
