We are pleased to announce that the Water-based Electric Thrusters (WET) project was featured on Radio 24’s “Smart City” programme.
During the interview, Professor Fabrizio Ponti from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna discussed the project’s vision and research progress. As he explained, “Water is not a fuel, but in ion engines it serves as a mass to be expelled just like any other,” highlighting how “water is found almost everywhere in the Solar System and is much easier to extract than other possible propellants.”
