SHORT DESCRIPTION: De Lochting is a Belgian agricultural company that operates in the social economy, deals with sustainable maintenance, organic horticulture and even has a packaging department for organic food. The idea of De Lochting was born in 1992, when public and privates elaborates a project with the idea of providing employment support to people excluded from the world of work. These people, in fact, who, due to personal reasons and/or related to society, can no longer work in the ordinary working world, are also threatened with social exclusion. The work habits organize the daily routine of the individuals and also the cohabitation with the other, determines the frequency of life together and confers self-esteem and security. De Lochting tries to find tailor-made jobs for all its clients, so that they feel involved in the development of society.
KEY ACTIVITIES: De Lochting finds space for its activities in the encounter of two problems that afflict society, not only Belgian: the ever-increasing unemployment and the demand and need for healthy and ethical food and new green spaces. For this reason, the activities are many and touch the entire path of the production chain from the agricultural work that produces vegetables and fruit to packaging, through the care and maintenance of the spaces. De Lochting tries to assign to everyone the work best suited to skills, quality and characteristics.
De Lochting also opens up to the outside world through various proposals of guided tours, often interactive, and various workshops in business organization, cooking or sustainable agriculture.
