Global Student Experience Team
Alice Ragueneau works within the Global Student Experience team at University of Zurich, where she advises students and staff on administrative matters and coordinates several international mobility programmes. Her work includes supporting research stays, staff mobility initiatives and short international programmes, contributing to the broader internationalisation strategy of the university. She joined the Live My Life programme at the University of Bologna to exchange perspectives with colleagues working in mobility and international affairs, while also gaining insight into Bologna’s long-standing experience in Erasmus and European cooperation programmes.
Through the Live My Life exchange, Alice had the opportunity to observe how international mobility and student support activities are organised within the multi-campus structure of the University of Bologna. In particular, she was interested in learning from an institution with extensive experience in Erasmus programmes and international cooperation: the experience offered her valuable insights into how mobility programmes can be coordinated across different campuses and institutional contexts, while also highlighting the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing between European partner universities.
Being paired with Susanne Zaghini proved to be one of the most enriching aspects of Alice’s experience. Through Susanne’s long-standing experience in international offices and her broad responsibilities across mobility and international affairs at the Rimini campus, Alice was able to gain both practical and strategic insights into the daily work of internationalisation within the University of Bologna.
Beyond the professional dimension, Alice’s experience was enriched by the opportunity to discover the cultural and social environment surrounding the university. Visiting Ravenna with her tandem partner allowed her to experience the close connection between the university, the local territory and its cultural heritage. She also particularly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere she encountered while visiting the Ravenna and Rimini campuses, both of which she described as especially charming. The openness and friendliness of colleagues across the campuses contributed to creating an environment that felt collaborative, approachable and strongly connected to the local context.
