STEP improves ultrasound techniques learning by recording the position of the probe and providing real-time feedback to the trainee.
Our idea is to create sensors and software capable of continuous tracking of position, inclination and pressure of an ultrasound probe. By using our system, healthcare professionals willing to learn the procedure will have a better understanding of the correct methodology by receiving a feedback from the device, speeding up the learning process. This will also make remote tutoring and practice during e-learning sessions feasible.
