eRelief is a dynamic device that allows visually impaired people to appreciate art through a haptic surface.
Nowadays, only a few museums around Italy are accessible to visually impaired people. eRelief reproduces paintings and parts of sculptures through a haptic surface that anyone can touch. This technology is based on so-called "pin-art", which is combined to a digital mechanism that automatically composes the relief. By doing so, eRelief lowers the cost for cultural accessibility providing multiple works of art with just one device.
