Now in its 10th edition, StartUp Day is transformed to define itself as an initiative of the regional innovation ecosystem, in collaboration with other universities and research centers in Emilia-Romagna.
Aimed at promoting the culture of innovation, research and youth entrepreneurship, StartUp Day Goes Green is the title chosen for this edition, which proposes a focus on the ecosystem for sustainable development, in which universities, public research organizations and private partners promote entrepreneurial ideas and projects related to the theme of ecological transition and the spread of green solutions.
From 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Dumbo's 'White Space' will host the pitches of more than 48 entrepreneurial teams presenting their innovative startup projects and ideas.
Intesa Sanpaolo, Almavicoo, Maverx Foundation, Granarolo, Legacoop Romagna, Almacube and Ecosister will award the best teams of this 10th edition of StartUp Day starting at 6 p.m.
From renewable energy to green manufacturing, from sustainable mobility to the circular economy, from smart housing to energy efficiency: there are many topics that will be discussed in the Talks hosted by Dumbo's Main Stage, which will put professors, startuppers and the business world in dialogue.
Guests of honor for the day will be Professor Stefano Mancuso, a scientist and popularizer, in a dialogue on the challenges of innovation for the future of the planet, and Francesco Oggiano, a digital journalist and partner at Will Italia, an expert on digital and social trends, who will talk about communication strategies to develop awareness about the ecological transition.
From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Lab Space will host 3D Printing and Lego workshops and the VARLab - Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory where the public can explore augmented reality through visors available to them.
Not only that: with Turtle, it will be possible to measure the sustainable impact of the event in real time through direct involvement of participants and have fun with the 'matching card' curated by Jebo.
Come to the Exhibition Area to get up close and personal with startups and spin-offs selected by the Region's universities, meet incubators and accelerators, and participate in the booths of the event's Partners: Intesa Sanpaolo, Legacoop Bologna, Bugnion and Granarolo.
