Applications of Borel-definable methods to homological algebra of locally compact abelian groups

Abstract: In this talk, I will survey recent applications of methods from logic, particularly descriptive set theory, to the study of homological invariants of locally compact abelian groups, including recent joint work with Bergfalk, Moraschini, and Sarti.
