Effective and Noether-Lefschetz divisors on moduli of K3 surfaces

Abstract: The first half will be a colloquium-style talk about the geometry of moduli spaces of K3 surfaces, NL divisors, and the dictionary between NL divisors and modular forms. In the second half, I will report on joint work in progress with P. Beri, E. Brakkee, and L. Flapan on the existence of effective divisors that are not NL-type.
