On some formality problems in deformation theory

I will start by recalling the main ideas and results about the leading principle of deformation theory: “every deformation problem is controlled by a differential graded Lie algebra”. After some examples, I will motivate and discuss some formality problems and their geometric applications to moduli spaces of sheaves on K3 surfaces (that are joint works with R. Bandiera and M. Manetti) and generalisations on higher dimensional hyperkähler manifolds (joint work with C. Onorati).
