Content

This event in the series of DIFA International Schools is aimed to provide a broad overview of how the general methodologies that characterise experimental data acquisition and data handling as well as the numerical modelling of complex systems can be applied in a variety of different physics subdomains. In particular, the physics areas covered in the present edition of the school will be:

  • The mystery of Dark Matter in the Universe
  • The detection and modelling of an epidemic breakout
  • The prediction of the Earth's climate evolution
  • The use of X-ray tomography for the 3D reconstruction of anatomic structures

The School will also cover aspects related to the communication of scientific results through a series of cooperative work sessions. The School is addressed at Master, PhD students, early-career scientists, but it is also suggested to undergraduate students. Due to the 100% online format, anyway, it is open to anyone.
