The experimental procedures will be described here
Purified and intact viral particles (positive control) and human A549 cells (negative control) from ZeptoMetrix* will be used in the sanitation tests.
The viral particles have been chemically modified to make them non-infectious and stable in the refrigerator (NATtrolTM SARS-CoV-2).
NATtrolTM SARS-CoV-2 External Run Controls are designed to evaluate the performance of SARS-CoV-2 RNA Nucleic Acid Assays.
NATtrolTM inactivation is performed on SARS-Cov-2 virus. Inactivation was verified in a standard microbiological growth protocol. All materials are also tested for HIV-1 and HCV by FDA approved Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) methods.

The optimized E2E protocol for detecting SARS-CoV-2 virus on surfaces is a 5-part procedure:
1. surface sample collection;
2. viral transport medium;
3. RNA extraction;
4. RT-qPCR assay;
5. test results.
