Our research agenda focuses on both global and local challenges such as urban and rural sustainable planning and regeneration, environmental sustainability and nature-based solutions, sustainable mobility, affordable housing, social inclusion and citizenship, and governance. Our Research group is based in the Emilia-Romagna Region, where it cooperates with many local administrations supporting their regeneration strategies, although it is particularly active in the field of EU research, thanks to a worldwide network of collaborations and the involvement in several international research projects. Main research activities and projects focus on 4 key areas: urban and rural regeneration, low carbon mobility, social sustainability in urban planning and sustainable, healthy and resilient cities.
