Green Office and UniversiRà: together to promote biodiversity!
On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB), established by the United Nations in 1992 to raise awareness about the ecological crisis and spread greater awareness about the importance of Nature, the students of the Green Office Alma Mater and the UniversiRà student association are organising the second edition of the Biodiversity Festival. The initiative aims to promote the Conservation of Biodiversity, its protection, preservation and restoration and is addressed to the citizens and the University community to accompany them towards the Biodiversity Day celebrations on 22 May.
From 27 April to 22 May, the Festival will feature 5 online events on Zoom, called BITs - Biodiversity Inspiring Talks: short, engaging and inspiring talks given by experts to get people excited about biodiversity. BITs use simple language to tell stories of solutions and progress that encourage action and help paint a future in harmony with Nature.
The virtual stage of the Festival will host experts, but also students will be able to contribute through the SottoFestival Social: a more informal venue where participants, as Biodiversity Ambassadors, will be able to propose their own ideas on topics and curiosities and elaborate thematic columns to be published on the official social profiles of the initiative (Instagram @bioday.ravenna and Facebook @UniversiRa).
To share your ideas and put them into practice, contact us at bioday.ravenna@gmail.com!
For the 2022 edition, all events will take place online, but there will also be face-to-face meetings to get to know each other live and network: the virtual room where the Festival takes place will be connected to a physical room, for each meeting in a different location of the University and travelling between Bologna and the Romagna campuses, where it will be possible to follow and participate in the face-to-face debate.
All meetings will start live at 6.30 p.m., while the physical rooms will open at 6 p.m.
