Forward Incubator has the goal to help newcomer entrepreneurs achieving economic independence, as this plays an important role in their integration in the new country.
• The incubator's main partnerships and sponsorships come from corporations: these not only provide funding but also an array of experts and trainers that hold the learning sessions in the programs.
• The main selection criteria applied by the incubator is related to the applicant’s motivation. The incubators’ staff carries out interviews assess the entrepreneurs’ commitment to set up a business. Other criteria are also the business feasibility of the startup and the entrepreneurs’ relevant experience in carrying out and managing his or her idea.
• Entrepreneurs are initially given online training about business, entrepreneurship, and the country’s cultural understanding. During the incubation program the participants work towards getting the right technical and personal skills needed to start their business through workshops and teamwork.
• The trainings for the incubation program take place in a live setting and are given by external trainers in English. These people are usually experts from certain fields of the business who offer they services pro-bono, who are motivated to give back to the society and be part of the startup scene.
• Other than the workshops and teamwork, the entrepreneurs benefit from the help of personal mentors and student consultants, who dedicate their time in giving the entrepreneurs’ the right advice to allow them reach success.
