African diaspora
Support to creation and development of SMEs with positive impact
• BITE was a European project (ended in 2021, funded by COSME) carried out by a consortium of public and private organisations offering support to the creation and development of small and medium enterprises with a positive social and environmental impact funded by African diaspora.
• Migrants from Sub-saharian areas are enrolled in a training course and in a following one-to-one mentoring phase to develop their business idea as well as to foster the socio-economic inclusion.
• Migrants are supported by a group of experienced professionals including financial advisors, certified accountants and communication experts to lay the ground for financially, socially and environmentally sustainable enterprises.
• The program also connects migrants with angel investors and venture capitalists to further push the businesses.
